About Purcurscents Candles

Purcurscents Candles specializes in helping people bring an extra bit of warmth into their homes in the form of gently flickering candles. These glowing accent pieces are made entirely of pure, additive-free soy wax. An entirely natural formula has the added benefit of a longer-lasting scent, which ensures that rooms maintain a subtle hint of lavender or vanilla for longer than with traditional candles. Additionally, Purcurscents Candles uses cleaner and smoother burning cotton wicks in all of its products—a relatively small touch that helps significantly prolong the life of a candle. Although the staff mainly helps customers find the perfect candle or candle holder, they also offer classes, teaching students how to make their own soy candles within the comfort of their own home or favorite wax museum.

It is very fun but I'd advise bringing the wine as it is optional, there are down times where your waiting on your're candles to dry.

The location is a bit hard to find. There is a banner in the shopping center where the class is held but there is no suite with the PurCurScent name on it. The class is actually held inside a fitness establishment.

There were technical issues with reservations that had more people show up than she was expecting and while she did everything that she could to accommodate everyone that showed up, I think that it threw her off her routine because the class was kind of chaotic. I left with a candle as promised but I didn't really learn HOW to make one at home. We weren't really given any specifics.

The workshop was fun but I don't think it was worth the $17 per person. The workshop was actually more of a party with strangers than an actual in-depth candle making class. The wax was already melted and the scents all in bottles so the actual candle making was mixing scent with the melted wax and stir which took about 30 minutes and then let it set and dry which was the bulk of the 1.5 hours. Even the owner told us that she caters more to party functions. I'm not very disappointed but at the end of the day, I felt like we just spent $36 on two small candles that we could have bought at a store.
