Owning a car can be a burden: paying for insurance, paying for gas, paying for a car-sitter every time you go for a hike. That's why Enterprise Rent-A-Car started CarShare, a community program that lets members take out vehicles around the city without worrying about any of those inconveniences. Once at the CarShare location, customers need only to use their membership card to unlock the door. Members can reserve a car by the hour—as well as daily or overnight—and low rates include the cost of fuel, insurance, and up to 185 miles per day. They enjoy a wide range of choices, too: electric and hybrid rides, SUVs and pickups, and passenger vehicles populate the company's stable of fuel-efficient vehicles.

Not as convenient as Zipcar since they don't have a dedicated app, but it's cheaper in many instances, especially with their insomnia rates!

As an Enterprise customer for years, them taking over Philly Car Share is a bonus. Customer service has been great. Locations too.

IT is economical, the cars are located in very accessible areas, and they are well maintained vehicles.
I sold my car and joined and I am happy to say I don't miss my own car, when I have the ability to access a car as easily as Enterprise CarShare.

Please mail out card and member Id when your follow up email says you will. I waiting 12 days to find out mine was still sitting at your office when I was told it was mailed out to me. Otherwise staff was extremely helpful.

Cars are really nice and in Philly Metro area, plenty of them. Wide selection. Kind of fun and a lot less expensive than a leased car, insurance and parking tickets!

So far, Enterprise Carshare has been a big help. I've already recommended it to others. There are only two things that I wish they would make advancements to. 1) It would be awesome if members had the option to text to extend rentals (like some other carshare programs). That would save us the hassle of having to pullover or stop to call or go to the website to extend. Which is time consuming, and not always user-friendly. And 2) Offering an earlier reservation (pick up) time for the 'discounted' overnight rate would be helpful as well, as many users are on public transportation, which means it's a little more difficult to travel to pick up locations at midnight, then return by 7am.
