Long before Bill Brokaw studied photography and environmental science, he spent his childhood roaming the woods of Hunterdon County with his trusty camera. After college, his love of adventure and exotic landscapes led him to a career in photojournalism. With that trusty camera still by his side, Bill traveled through China, Africa, England, and across the US in search of any gritty and emotive moments that managed to escape from reality television.
Today, Bill resides in his home state of New Jersey, where he crafts portraits of families, couples, and individuals both in-studio and on location. After each shoot, he screens, polishes, and enhances each image to draw out vibrant colors or swaddle smiles in subdued sepia tones. When he isn't taking photos of people doing what they love—such as playing hockey, dancing, or revoking Dad's car privileges—he shares his shutterbug skills with publications and nonprofits and hosts workshops and classes.
