About 18th Street Handwash

Special Touch Car Wash was founded to provide working opportunities to individuals with disabilities. For more than 20 years, vocational teachers have led special-needs students through a structured training program emphasizing leadership skills, teamwork, and multistep tasks. These students apply this training while dousing cars with water from a hose and scrubbing them with sponges.

Their dirt-defeating services include the basic wash, which focuses on the exterior, and The Works, which treats autos to a full exterior and interior wash, a full interior vacuum, and a scent of your choosing. Special Touch Car Wash also offers detailing services such as waxing or interior shampooing to keep floor mats from developing dreadlocks.
