Breaking with the no-nonsense vibe of the shop’s warehouse exterior, Aquila Glass School’s brightly painted loading-dock door hints at the vibrant creativity that waits inside. The full-time working studio simmers with nine kilns as students create their glass into plates, beads, boxes, or Christmas tree ornaments. Students cut their teeth on introductory classes that teach fusing and studio safety, then graduate to more advanced skills such as torch work and marble making. The expansive facility also offers 68 hours of open studio time each week, where graduates of introductory classes return to further their education with more classes or create independent projects with free use of the facilities, tools, and instruction books made entirely of stained glass. My teenage son and I lost ourselves in the projects. It was fabulous to be able to do THREE projects because it kept us very engaged and busy. The teacher said we could stay and work on our projects until closing at 9:00pm if we wanted.
What a GREAT bonding day for us! And this is one artistic experience that definitely has "guy" appeal, so bring your sons and your daughters!!!

We had the best time at the class. We were given great instruction, and allowed to take our time creating our pieces. We all came home feeling very accomplished. They made sure we got our order by Wednesday, as my sister was flying back to Texas.
We want to go back for a girls night out, food, wine, and glass work! thank you so much for the great experience! Highly recommend :-) Scott was wonderful.

Hello! I took my girlfriend to this class and it was so MUCH FUN! We learned a lot of glass tips alone with having a great time!! The instructor was absolutely fantastic! And the owners, 1 of whom was our instructor, were so knowledgeable and helpful. What a great time! I would recommend Aquila Glass School and Shop to everyone new to Glass work or already experienced. Thank you!!!

It was a great time! They allow you to stay as long as you want to work on your projects and there are a ton of different glass pieces to choose from. It was a really relaxed and comfortable place. Highly recommend!
