Chances are Laurence Olivier never studied at a place like Active Shooter Defense School, though he would have fit right in. The outdoor firearms academy often works with actors, training them to shoot correctly so they can mimic those techniques on stage and screen. But a role on the latest crime show is hardly a requirement. Instructors—all of whom are combat veterans—also teach public classes in pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Their outdoor range also hosts a monthly shooting competition.
