Each fall, the typically serene landscape transforms into a 5K course of terror as lurching/walking/sprinting dead try to make buffets of the running living in the pulse-pounding Zombie Frenzy race. But unlike zombie runs that force participants to just play victim, the Zombie Frenzy provides a fresh role-playing twist that lets runners see through the eyes of both the living and the undead, just like Bub, an adorable sentient zombie. With help from a team of professional makeup artists, partakers start the race as ghoulish chaser zombies and savor the thrill of stalking the living for their "brains," which come in the form of belt-mounted "life" flags. After hunting their prey across containment zones, the tables turn as players shed their makeup and rigor mortis to return to the race as runners. Those who finish fastest and with their flags intact can earn prizes. But everyone who participates gets a T-shirt, swag bag, custom silicon bracelets, and snacks and drinks after they've crossed the finish line.
