A tip is to bring along a sweater or such, as with water below Cannery and with door open to back viewing deck, it was rather cool in there early May. The tour was fantastic and so was the male tour guide!
It is worth spending the time for the guided tour. It gives you explanations for what you are looking at, both the workings, the social and the historical context.
Boy did i learn lots about early fishing and canning. A must see and experience!
Take the guided tour!
Great museum! Would definitely go there again. For first timers, make sure u have a
Coat or sweater while inside the museum, it's cold inside.....but remember, this used to be a cannery, so this place needs till be cold to house tins of fish to be processed.
Very interesting venue.
Super nice staff. Kids can learn lot things about the fish and they all love the place.

Great for people interested in fishing industry in BC, machinery and production systems. Signage is good and workers very friendly.
