About The St. Augustine Greek Festival

For three days each year, Francis Field overflows with the sounds of Greek music and the aromas of classic dishes such as grilled lamb, pastitsio, dolmades, and spanakopita. Simultaneously traditional and contemporary, The St. Augustine Greek Festival shares with visitors the foundations of Hellenic culture. In a self-described authentic outdoor marketplace, vendors showcase a wide variety of modern arts and crafts. An enlarged and expanded kids' center, meanwhile, brims with carnival rides, games, and budding loukoumades jugglers.

To keep festival-goers fueled, staff at a traditional kafenio serve coffee and pastries, while those at the taverna fill cups with imported Greek beer and wine. The Ellada Band sets the weekend score with traditional Greek music, and they sometimes provide the rhythm for traditional Greek dance troupes who attendees can enjoy watching perform and even join in after the show.

It was a great time. I just wish I got there sooner. The merchants Reelskins, the wood carvings frem the holy land and the painting of the beaches with shells collected from local beachses. They were amazing, and very talented. I cant wait until next year.

The food was delicious The Greek lemonade was probably one of the best mixed drinks I’ve had all year. And the dancing was energetic and beautiful.

Great weather, fun to watch the dancing and listen to music, food & drink choices were great and it was all delicious. The worst part was the parking fee, $15 and ended up on the top of the parking garage!

I really enjoyed the location and the Free Parking! Everyone was friendly, especially the "carnival workers" working the kids zone. They were attentive, supportive of the children, and concerned with safety. The Manager was very involved with the team. The Food, drink and music was also wonderful!
