California Steemers has spruced up floors and upholstery throughout the Pacific Beach area since 2008. During 12-step carpet-cleaning sessions, technicians groom and spot-treat carpets, extract soil with water heated between 60–235 degrees, and spritz floors with Du Pont-brand Teflon carpet protectant that deflects future stains. The company also cleans area rugs, which are sent to California Steemers' headquarters so staffers can treat them with specialized equipment. In addition to caring for carpets, rugs, and tile, California Steemers also spruces up drapes, upholstery, and snake-skin runners with fabric deodorizers and extractions.
