About Mira Mesa Auto Spa

Chargers Hall of Famer Don Macek opened Mira Mesa Auto Spa in 1992 along with his teammate Dennis McKnight. Their goal: to create an automatic car wash that cleans cars in five minutes with Blue Coral products and a high-powered drying system. Their services range from express washes to meticulous detailing sessions, the latter of which finds techs waxing exteriors by hand, removing impurities with clay bars, and reorganizing out-of-place atoms.

The last time I went to Mira Mesa Auto Spa I got a full detail, including shampooing the interior and hand wax with clay treatment and my car came out looking brand new! And ever since then I've been taking my car there to keep it looking new. My car is 6 years old and you would never be able to tell that it's that old because the exterior looks awesome!

It would be nice to have a brief towel dry off for the highest wash package (minus the vacuuming, detailing, etc.).

It wouldn't hurt to offer your vacuums after an automatic car wash because in the end the interior is still a mess. I wouldn't mind taking extra time to vacuum myself. You people need to change your attitudes towards this and be a tad more friendly.

it was for exterior wash only and they would not allow me to use the vacuum even though they were available. I was told that the water they used precluded the need for a wipe down which was not true because I wound up with lots of water spots.

The blow dry is not as complete as Costco, left my windows water spotted, may not even be a soft water rince, although it is supposed to be just that. Need to have an area for self drying.
