About SUP with Wade

After years in the financial world, Wade Lawson ended up on the shores of Southern California in search of a change. Here, he discovered stand-up paddleboarding; paddle in hand, he hit the water, noticing that he was having fun and getting a great workout at the same time. That was in 2003, before SUP became the explosive trend in watersports that it is today. Now, Wade and his wife Krista teach lessons in both stand-up paddleboarding and classic surfing in Los Angeles and San Pedro, leading students out into gentle waves they can traverse on the long, easy-balancing boards with their life-jackets and paddles in hand.
