This year the purveyors at the Kemah Crawfish Festival will be celebrating the event's fifth anniversary fittingly—with crawfish innovation. Their new cooking units can boil up to 6,000 pounds of crawfish per hour, which is more than enough to feed the hungry revelers and stray walruses that flock to the event grounds. In addition to crawfish, this festival also features three days of drinks, and live music from the likes of Louisiana songwriter Wayne Toups.

Try not to go when its raining. Its a festival so bring extra cash and watch what others walk away with. Some food isn't worth the price.

I went on Friday. Crawfish is not seasoned well - bring something to add flavor. They had a Zydeco band initially. A Country band was the headliner. I've never been to a Crawfish fest where country music was played. Then again, I'm from Louisiana.

They need to bring seasoning with them. Had a great time, crawfish was bland. I don't think they purge them long enough. Many people where asking other people for their seasoning.
