About Pacific Camps

Since its founding in 1988, Pacific Camps has been bringing kids together to play and learn in a safe environment during camps and before- and after-school care programs. Each day of camp is packed full of fun, made up of both structured programming and unstructured play time. Camp staffers unite kids for arts and crafts and games, and also turn them loose to explore the camp's facilities, which include basketball hoops and four-square courts. Field trips and inter-camp events also get children's minds and muscles active. With a staffer-to-child ratio of 1:12, parents can rest assured that their children are under caring supervision at all times.

However, their before- and after-school care programs take learning a little more seriously. During these sessions, children are encouraged to tackle their homework with the aid of trained staff in an environment free of paper-hungry dogs.

Very nice situation for the price. Very, very warm and attentive counselors. There were a couple of logistical/scheduling snafus... but nothing to get up in arms over.

Both our boys have attended Pacific Camps in the past and we love their facility and their counselors. We miss having the Thousand Oaks location.

They provide no snacks, lunch, or drinks. A supervisor contacted me when I picked up my daughter the first day and told me her lunch was not big enough and had no snack and they had to buy her a burrito.. It's a summer camp, no lunch, snacks, or drink!!(But to their credit you can purchase snacks or lunches) Some of the outings are good. Park day, beach day but then they throw in an amusement park at six flags and you need to buy a pass. Already paid 100+ for camp and plus $79 more for the park. It's not a typical summer camp. Yes I knew that it would not be an outdoor camp facility, but really, no snacks! Each dayou pack a lunch WITH snacks, and drink. you drop your child off at a church and then they go on little outings. We are on the 3rd day. So far nothing has been brought home. No art projects, or any projects. Very poor camp
