I like Fu of Kyoto. I was glad to see a good Japanese hibachi takeout restaurant opening so close to home (finally, one is Simpsonville). But, unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone downhill somewhat. Back when Fu first opened, the food was spectacularly well done, particularly the vegetables. They were bigger and not cooked down to mush, and you got more of them. In my book, that set them above the other hibachi places. But now, they're merely on the same level as all their competitors - fewer veggies... reduced to mush. Sorry to see that happen.

They supposedly offer a 'full service bar' but every time I've gone and tried to get a drink they are always out of something... so don't expect to go and get a nice cocktail. Food is good.

Don't really like the fact that it is Japanese fast food. Not as good as the original.
