About Block Brewing Company

Block Brewing Company's beers range from light ales to dark stouts, but they all benefit from the craftsmanship of master brewer Tom Block. In his 20 years in brewing, Block has worked with many of Michigan's respected breweries and even taught fermentation classes at Michigan State University. His brewing savvy materialize in his dozen or so craft beers, while his vision is apparent in the brewery as a whole. The restaurant, for instance, serves dry-rubbed barbecue that's been smoked in-house, and features Block's craft beers to wash down plates of St. Louis ribs and cornmeal-crusted catfish.
