About South Texas Flyboard

The jetpacks of our imaginations were always powered by fire, but for Franky Zapata, water is the way to go. Inspired, he designed the Flyboard, an over-water aerial device capable of launching its rider up to 45 feet in the air with jets of pure water that gush from a large, high-tech hose strapped to a buoyant board.

Franky's next innovation was the Hoverboard, a skateboard-shaped vehicles that shreds across the open water at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour. Hydro Rockets also offers the Jetovator, whose powdered aluminum body keeps riders floating atop the water when they're not zooming around above it. Finally, the most advanced invention yet: the JetBlade. Responsive and quick, the JetBlade's foot jets let riders shift, flip, and spin through the air like the superheroes of yore.

At Hydro Rockets, instructors give folks the chance to experience thrilling bird’s-eye views of Lake Charles on any of these four jet vehicles. After a brief instructional lesson, customers can strap into the board’s pre-attached boots and take to the skies during an adrenaline-fueled ride.
