Wonderful place. I didn't think it had so much detail. But wait till you get to the carriage house. I was blown away. I literally spent a whole day there. Everyone was so knowledgeable and helpful. I had 2 questions, and they found out for me as I was continuing my tour. Highly highly recommend anyone who wants to learn about history. Go check it out A+++

The LIM is an under appreciated gem. There are several buildings and lovely grounds. We saw a baseball exhibit on Father’s Day. I visited the other gallery for the exhibit, “Brushstrokes” very inspiring. A great museum dedicated to LI artists, all for a reasonable admission fee.

We were very impressed with the museum and the staff was super friendly and informative. The baseball exhibit and amazing art done by artists with Cerebral Palsy were both really great. There is a little schoolhouse on the property which is great, seeing the classroom from so many years ago. The different carriages that were used throughout the years was really interesting to learn about.
