About Treasure Coast Sailing Adventures

Featured in TC Palm, Treasure Coast Sailing Adventures’ schooner, Lily, is one of the few of its kind left sailing. Since 1999, Captain Fred Newhart has overseen care of the vessel, which hauled lumber between Martha’s Vineyard and Maine in the '70s and '80s, joined by First Mate Jamie Miscoski in 2010. Today, the barge takes up to 35 passengers on scenic tours and private charters that cruise down the Saint Lucie River. Each passenger can choose to help with tasks on deck, such as raising the sails, or simply sit back and sip from a glass of wine.

The whole trip and crew were wonderful. We were allowed to bring a picnic lunch and beer or wine but they also supplied soft drinks on board $1 each. The captain spoke in detail of the history of the ship, local sealife and played guitar & sang 3 irish songs at the end. It was interesting, entertaining, relaxing and fun :) and I would love to do it again next year. Thanks guys!!!

The sail was AWESOME!! It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon/evening. Our favorite part was the Irish folk songs at the end. Truly special!

Nice way to spend a couple of hours. The owners were a great young couple who not only were the crew but also entertained us by playing guitar and violin and singing. We all had a good time.

A windy day would be best but the last part of the cruise made up for the lack of sailing...the owners played the guitar and violin that was very charming and you can tell they love what they do...
