It's very warm in most of the rooms, so it's better to layer up than wear something too warm which can't be taken off.

Go during a less busy period of the day, so you can really experience it leisurely rather than with crowds surrounding you

Plan your tour before ahead - look online to see what other temporary exhibits are available while you're there. Stop at the cafe for yummy espresso, tea or dessert at your half way point. The Italian galleria is stunning to take in while you relax with a cuppa. The clerk that handled our ticket voucher was very personable and informative - a real sweetheart and the security person that answered our questions in the gallery also very nice - great staff!

It is very busy and very big, if you want to see all of it book a long time.

Saturdays crowded but less crowded than sundays

more random seating throughout - the current coat check is inconvenient - maybe there should be another somewhere in the gallery if one decides to shed outer clothing due to temperatures
