China. Porcelain. Tea sets over the centuries. This is not normally riveting stuff. Yet somehow the Gardiner manages to both endear, enchant and educate on all things originating from clay & the earth. There are rooms dedicated to specific eras / countries. The displays are well laid out, and the written descriptions are thorough and beautifully presented. The massive scale of the Rococco style dessert table was, well, off-the-chain. Seriously, you'll never think of "dessert service" the same way again. Check out the Canadian modern pottery / art display to the right just off the lobby entrance. Get a volunteer to show you the Secret Thing Way You Should Focus Your Eyes On That Black & White Sculpture. It's pretty cool.

Current special exhibition on ancient Panama ends this weekend. Highly recommend to join the free guided tour which is conducted at 2 pm daily. The guide was fantastic & she walked you through the essence of the special exhibition. Very informative!
