About The Great American Cooking Expo

The Great American Cooking Expo presents "It's Just a Taste: Food and Wine Festival" brings together celebrity chefs, culinary trendsetters, and food and wine connoisseurs for two days of eating, drinking, and education. The event fills Arlington Park Racecourse’s 50,000 square feet with delicious aromas generated by more than 100 exhibitors, who alternate between demonstrating advanced techniques and providing tasty morsels and wine samples for the crowds. While professionals show off the methods that produce exceptional flavors, more than 25 premium beverage manufacturers offer up the perfect wines to pair. They provide more than 125 wines to sample, along with ample spirits and cordials.

The event’s organizers hope to provide more than fleeting culinary satisfaction. They also organize stations to help generate menu ideas, teach specific recipes, or inspire visitors to find the perfect gift for a culinary-inclined friend, whether it’s a set of new pots or a kidnapped celebrity chef.

This was fun. It was nice to taste all of the wines and sample some different foods. I wish there were more vendors though. I was hoping for a few more demonstrations and other kitchen gadgets shown to me. Overall, we had a nice time.

Excellent time. Lots of vendors. Will def stay nearby next time. Thought I'd see more cooking demos throughout the vendor booths. Would like to see more food considering all the alcohol/liquor served. Was great to see holiday beverages, snacks, etc before they hit the shelves. I had all the latest before my friends. Would definitely return!

definitely a worth while program. Unfortunately there were a few kiosh that ran out of products and closed down. I would also recommend that the kiosh be numbered more clearly and bigger. Since I was following the floor plan, I could not see most of these numbers. Hoipe to see you next year!---Jennie

While I really enjoyed The Great American Cooking Expo., it seemed that the day I attended (Sunday) was much more alcohol oriented, rather than cooking related. There was amazing amount of wines, liquors and beers to try but very little food!

They offered many, many alcohol samples, which is good. Not so much Cooking expo. They needed more food samples to keep people from driving drunk on the way home. Overall, I certainly feel I got my money's worth, and a hangover!
