Located in historic downtown Elgin, Blue Box Cafe satisfies hunger while paying homage to the Midwest. The café serves its own signature blend of Chicago-roasted Metropolis coffee, plus eight varieties of Rishi tea from Milwaukee. For food, customers can choose from soups, baked goods, and sandwiches such as the Elgin Club, a meat powerhouse stacked with turkey, roast beef, black forest ham, and bacon. On the other side of the sandwich spectrum is the Veggielicious, made with roasted eggplant and zucchini, roma tomatoes, and avocado on toasted multigrain bread.
