About Blessing of the Bay Boathouse
The Blessing of the Bay Boathouse is Boston’s newest paddling destination. The boathouse is easily accessed by public transportation and is just a short walk from Assembly Row in Somerville. The Somerville Parks & Recreation Department has partnered with Paddle Boston and Gentle Giant Rowing Club to allow visitors an opportunity to rent canoes, paddleboard, or kayak along the full seven miles of the Mystic River while enjoying skyline views seven days a week. The Boathouse offers plenty of training opportunities including youth canoe and kayak clinics, as well as rowing programs for novice and experienced rowers from high school aged and up.
