What To Expect
The Elite Training Center is one of the top gyms in Los Angeles. The beginner programs for younger children (5-8) are designed to build confidence, focus, and respect in a fun, structured setting. Your little ones will master age-appropriate techniques that enhance coordination and discipline, all while developing the foundational skills for real self-defense. At the Elite Training Center, kids level up in every way. Not at all! The majority of our students start with no prior martial arts experience. These classes are beginner-friendly and designed for all experience levels, making it easy for anyone with a strong desire to learn to get started.
What if my child isn't in great physical shape?
Absolutely! Everyone is encouraged to participate at their own level. Your strength and endurance will naturally improve as you continue to train, and there's no "weeding-out" process based on initial fitness levels.
What should my child wear and bring to their first class?
We suggest wearing comfortable workout clothes, as you will sweat. While we provide a uniform shirt upon signup, you can come dressed in your workout clothes. Most students train barefoot, but socks are an option. Please hydrate before class and bring a water bottle. Also, arrive 15 minutes early to stretch, and avoid eating for an hour before class.
Which specific martial arts styles are taught?
The Elite Center trains pupils in a variety of martial arts disciplines, including the intuitive self-defense of Krav Maga, the fast-growing Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Muay Thai Kickboxing, and more.
Are there any rules?
Never train on an empty stomach, but make sure to finish eating at least one hour before class. If you have an injury or specific condition, please let the instructor know beforehand.

Students include South Bay residents and those in the Los Angeles region, male and female, adult and youth, those with no prior self-defense experience, and those experienced in martial arts.
