Day 1 — Depart for Beijing
Board your international flight from Los Angeles (LAX) toward Beijing, China.

Day 2 — Arrive in Beijing

Altitude Advisory (Option 3 — Tibet): Lhasa sits at approximately 3,650m (11,975 ft) and Everest Base Camp at 5,200m (17,060 ft). Altitude sickness is possible. Rest upon arrival, stay well hydrated, avoid alcohol, and contact your guide immediately if symptoms worsen. Consult your physician before traveling to high-altitude destinations.

Does buying the Groupon voucher mean my trip is booked?

No — purchasing the voucher does not confirm your reservation. After buying, follow the instructions in the How To Book section or on your voucher to contact the Tour Operator. For best availability, reach out as soon as possible after purchase.

How do I choose which itinerary I want?

There are three options: the 10-Day Beijing & Shanghai tour (from $1,099/pp, departing spring–winter 2026), the 12-Day Chinese Mainland & Hong Kong (from $1,599/pp), and the 11-Day Tibet Tour ($2,599/pp). Select the option on Groupon that matches your preferred itinerary and departure date. When you contact the Tour Operator, confirm your itinerary choice along with your voucher code.

Do I need a visa to travel to China?

Visa requirements vary by nationality and are subject to change. U.S. passport holders may need a Chinese visa; fees are not included in the Groupon price. For the Tibet itinerary, additional regional travel permits are required beyond a standard visa. Can I travel solo?

Yes — solo travel is available with a single supplement: $400/pp for Option 1, $500/pp for Option 2, and $600/pp for Option 3. Inform the Tour Operator when booking so the supplement can be added to your reservation.

Are children allowed on these tours?

Yes — children ages 2 and older are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Contact the Tour Operator for child-specific pricing when finalizing your reservation. Please note that the Tibet itinerary involves very high altitudes, which may not be suitable for young children — consult your physician in advance.

What is the full cancellation policy?

Your voucher is fully refundable to your original payment method or as Groupon Bucks until you submit your voucher code to the merchant or within 3 days of purchase, whichever comes first. After 3 days and until the deal expiry date (“Book by” date available in the “Need To Know Info” section), refunds for unredeemed vouchers are issued as Groupon Bucks. Once the deal has expired, vouchers are no longer eligible for a refund; however, the amount paid never expires. Once your booking is confirmed with the merchant, it is non-refundable; the merchant requests 60 days’ notice for any cancellation requests. Airfare is non-refundable once booked.
