• FlightsEconomy class flights are included. The number of connections, layovers, and baggage allowances vary by departure city and airline, to be advised at the time of booking.
• Currency & LanguageThe local currency in Costa Rica is the Costa Rican Colón (CRC). Spanish is the official language.
• Age RequirementsThe minimum age to travel and check-in is 21 years old. Children aged 12 and under may pay a reduced rate.
• Solo TravelA solo travel supplement applies: $409 for 2026 departures, $459 for 2027 departures. This will be an optional add-on during booking.
• Additional NotesMandatory car insurance starting from $35 per day and a mandatory credit card deposit are required for car rental. An underage surcharge applies for renters under 23 years old.

Cancellation Policy

Your Groupon voucher is refundable until deal expiration date ("Book by" date) or until you complete your booking on the Travel by Jen page and submit your voucher code. Once your booking is submitted and confirmed, it becomes non-refundable through Groupon, and all further changes are subject to the merchant's cancellation policy. See the FAQs section for detail.

How To Book

2. Reservation required by 8/31/2026, contact Travel by Jen at (800) 603-3178 Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET.

3. Please have the following details on hand, voucher #, credit card information, as well as name and date of birth as they appear on passports for all passengers.

4. Present voucher and credit card at check-in arrival.

FAQs

Does buying a Groupon voucher mean my trip is booked?

No — purchasing the voucher does not book your trip. The voucher entitles you to book a 'Limited Time Offer' vacation package at a Groupon-discounted rate. After buying, follow the steps in "How To Book" as soon as possible to secure your preferred dates.

Are all travel dates available at the Groupon price?

Not all dates are offered at the Groupon rate. Check the Travel by Jen special offers page to see eligible dates. If your preferred date isn't available at the Groupon price, you may need to pay the difference at TBJ's checkout or adjust your travel dates.

What type of rental car is included?

The tour includes an automatic economy car rental. Mandatory car insurance and a credit card deposit are required at pickup.

What meals are included?

Daily breakfast is included at your hotels. Other meals are not included, allowing you flexibility to explore local dining.

Can I choose my specific hotels in Arenal and the Beach area?

Your 3-star hotels in Arenal and the beach area will be assigned when your travel documents are issued by the Tour Provider.

What is the maximum number of people allowed per room?
