Does buying the Groupon voucher mean my trip is booked?
No — purchasing the voucher does not confirm your reservation. After buying, follow the instructions in the How To Book section or on your voucher to contact the Tour Operator. For best availability, reach out as soon as possible after purchase.
Is the rental car really included? What does it cover?
Yes — an automatic economy rental car is included for the full 7-night duration of your trip. To collect the vehicle, you’ll need a valid driver’s license and a major credit card in the primary driver’s name. Note that mandatory liability insurance (SLI/TPL) is required by Costa Rican law and is not included in the Groupon price — it is paid directly to the rental agency at pickup. The Tour Operator can provide estimated costs when finalizing your booking.
Can I travel solo?
Yes — solo travel is available for a single supplement of $479/person, applicable to all travel dates. Inform the Tour Operator when booking so the supplement can be added to your reservation.

Is this trip self-guided or escorted?
This is a self-drive package — you travel at your own pace using the included economy rental car. Hotels are pre-booked along a classic Costa Rica route (Arenal → Tamarindo → San José), but your time at each destination is yours to plan. Detailed driving directions and any pre-arrival information will be provided by the Tour Operator when your booking is finalized.
What is the full cancellation policy?
Your voucher is fully refundable to your original payment method or as Groupon Bucks until your booking is confirmed with the merchant or within 3 days of purchase, whichever comes first. After 3 days and until the deal expires (“Book by” date available in the “Need To Know Info” section), refunds for unredeemed vouchers are issued as Groupon Bucks. Once the deal has expired, vouchers are no longer eligible for a refund; however, the amount paid never expires. Once your booking is confirmed with the merchant, it is non-refundable and subject to the merchant’s cancellation policy. Airfare is non-refundable once booked.
