- Car insurance is mandatory and not included in the Groupon price. Coverage starts at $30/day and must be purchased at the car rental counter. A refundable deposit of up to $1,000 is required for the duration of the rental.
- Airport transfers are not included. Plan your own transport between the airport and your first hotel, and between hotels during the trip.

- Road conditions: Some roads in the Arenal and Monteverde regions are unpaved or hilly. A 4WD vehicle may be recommended for certain routes — ask Travel By Jen at booking.

Does buying the Groupon voucher mean my trip is booked?
No — purchasing the voucher does not confirm your reservation. After buying, follow the instructions on your voucher or call Travel By Jen at (800) 603-3178 to book. Complete your booking by June 12, 2026 to secure your preferred dates.
Is car insurance included with the rental car?
No — mandatory car insurance is not included in the Groupon price. Coverage starts at $30/day and must be purchased at the car rental counter in Costa Rica. A refundable deposit of up to $1,000 is also required for the duration of the rental period.
Are airport transfers included?
No — airport transfers are not included. You will use your included rental car to drive between the airport, Arenal, and Monteverde. If you have questions about logistics or routing, call Travel By Jen at (800) 603-3178.
Can I fly from a city not listed on the deal page?

What is the full cancellation policy?
Your voucher is fully refundable to your original payment method or as Groupon Bucks until you submit your voucher to the merchant or within 3 days of purchase, whichever comes first. After 3 days and until the deal expiry date, refunds for unredeemed vouchers are issued as Groupon Bucks. Once the deal has expired, vouchers are no longer eligible for a refund; however, amount paid never expires. Once your booking is confirmed with the merchant, a $50/person cancellation fee applies; 46-day notice required or 50% fee; 31-day or less results in a fee up to the full voucher price. Airfare is non-refundable once booked.
Can I extend my trip or add extra nights?
