Tour Itinerary at a Glance

Day 1. Fly Overnight from the US to Cairo Depart from the US in the evening on an overnight flight to Egypt. Get some rest on the plane and prepare for the start of your Middle Eastern adventure. You’ll arrive in Cairo the next day.

Day 2. Arrive in Cairo Arrive anytime and settle into the vibrant capital of Egypt. Check into your hotel, relax, and adjust to the city’s rhythm. In the evening, meet your CEO and fellow travelers, then head out together to a favourite local restaurant or bar in a trendy part of Cairo for your first night out.

Day 3. Explore Cairo & Overnight Train to Aswān Start the morning with a guided visit to the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx, led by your Egyptologist CEO. Continue to the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar for an orientation walk through Cairo’s most famous market. Enjoy free time in the afternoon — visit the Egyptian Museum or explore the inside of a pyramid. In the evening, board your comfortable overnight sleeper train to Aswān.

Day 4. Arrive in Aswān & Explore the Nile Arrive in Aswān early. Enjoy a relaxed morning exploring this peaceful Nile-side city at your own pace. In the late afternoon, board a local boat for a scenic cruise to a Nubian Village, then enjoy a traditional home-cooked dinner.

Day 5. Free Day in Aswān Spend the day discovering Aswān on your own or choose a full-day excursion to Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most impressive ancient temples. In the evening, you may opt for the magical Philae Temple Sound & Light Show.

Day 6. Sail the Nile, Visit Kom Ombo & Continue to Luxor Start the day with a relaxing 4-hour felucca sail along the Nile, passing beautiful riverbank scenes and enjoying lunch onboard. Continue by private vehicle to Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, before driving onward to Luxor.

Day 7. Explore Luxor Enjoy a full free day in Luxor. Explore temples, museums, or markets at your own pace. Or opt for the full West Bank Guided Tour to the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, and Colossi of Memnon, with an optional visit to King Tut’s tomb.

Day 8. Luxor, Funtasia Project Visit & Overnight Train to Cairo Begin the day with a visit to the Funtasia Project on the West Bank of Luxor. Bicycle through the village with a student guide and learn about this local community initiative.

Day 9. Return to Cairo – Tour Ends Arrive in Cairo. The tour officially ends this morning at Giza train station. Your CEO can assist with onward travel arrangements. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your return flight to the US. Say goodbye to Egypt and your travel companions — taking home unforgettable memories of pyramids, temples, feluccas, and the timeless Nile.
