Useful Information

  • We have superior double, triple and family rooms as well as suites, extra beds are not available
  • No special equipment is required, other than warm outdoor clothes suited for winter, but we highly recommend packing long underwear, own hat and wool socks to wear inside the bag
  • The temperature in SnowHotel stays always between 0 and −5 ºC, even in extremely cold weather. Our sleeping bags are suitable for arctic conditions – the guests can wear the same clothing they normally wear inside a house or less
  • Shared toilets are located inside SnowHotel in the common areas but not inside hotel rooms
  • Northern lights watch: Our guide stays up all night to monitor for northern lights and will wake you up if they are visible. To request the wake-up service, let us know at reception when you check in.
  • Complimentary access to our shared sauna, available daily.
  • Breakfast is included in the accommodation price and is served daily at 7:30-10:30
  • Complimentary entrance to Snowman World: Tickets to Snowman World in Santa Claus Village are included in the accommodation price for stays between 6.12.2025 and 17.3.2026. Guests can collect their ticket from the Snowman World reception by providing their name and check-in date.

The Itinerary: 8-Days Arctic Adventure with Rovaniemi & Glass Igloo OR Snowhotel

Day 1: Fly overnight from the US to Helsinki Your Arctic adventure begins. Board your overnight flight and get ready to swap city lights for the magic of Lapland.

Day 2: Touch down in Helsinki Welcome to Finland’s stylish capital. Check into your hotel, grab a cinnamon bun from a local café, and stroll through the cobbled streets or warm up in a lakeside sauna. It is the calm before the snow-dusted magic kicks off.

Day 3: Overnight train to Rovaniemi on the Santa Claus Express All aboard the overnight Santa Claus Express, a dreamy night train that glides through frozen forests straight to the North Pole. Cozy cabin, midnight snacks, and views straight out of a fairytale.

Day 4 – Arrive in Rovaniemi and check into your hotel Welcome to Santa’s hometown! After settling into your hotel, head out to explore the magic of Rovaniemi. Cross the Arctic Circle, visit Santa Claus Village to meet Santa in person, and enjoy hot cocoa in a snowy winter wonderland.

Day 5 – Arctic adventures in Rovaniemi Wake up to the beauty of Lapland and spend the day enjoying exciting activities. Choose from husky sledding, reindeer safaris, or snowmobiling across frozen landscapes. In the evening, keep watch for the Northern Lights shimmering across the Arctic sky.

Day 6: Sleep under the stars in a Glass Igloo Enjoy an unforgettable Arctic night with two seasonal options:

  • Glass Igloo stay (15th Oct 2025–9th Dec 2025): Watch the northern sky and, if lucky, the Aurora Borealis, from the comfort of your heated glass-roofed igloo.
  • Snow Hotel stay (10 Dec 2025–26 Mar 2026): Experience a once-in-a-lifetime night inside a hotel built entirely of snow and ice, surrounded by magical ice sculptures.

Day 7: Fly back to Helsinki for one last night Take a quick flight back to Helsinki and soak up your final evening. Go for a moonlit stroll, enjoy Nordic cuisine, and raise a toast to the trip of a lifetime.
