About Galena Brewing Company
Paying homage to the bygone traditions of local brewing, Galena Brewing Company hopes to bring back a once-thriving beer label to the community. With the brewery's logo featuring nine stars that represent nine 19th-century breweries which used to operate in the town, guests can take for granted that this company cares not only about serving quality brews but also preserving the local history. Kathy and Warren Bell launched their label in 2009 and opened the doors of Galena Brewing Company in 2010 with a brewery and pub serving their 12 flagship beer styles accompanied by tasty grub made from locally-sourced ingredients.
Here's what patrons may find on tap:
- Anna Belle's: This IPA features 7.5% ABV. The gold-award winner of NABA 2013, it boasts a ruby color and boasts hoppy flavors with a pleasant bitterness as well as pine and citrus aromas.
- Uly's Dark: This Oatmeal Stout features 5.7% ABV. As a bronze-award winner of NABA 2011 and 2013, it enchants the palate with a rich and creamy taste with profound notes of chocolate and roasted malts.
- Fevre River Ale: This Hefeweizen-style beer features 5.3% ABV. A gold-award winner of NABA 2014 and a bronze winner at NABA 2013, it's a classic Bavarian-style wheat beer with refreshing banana and clove overtones.
