The block is heavy and sturdy, the knives are very substantial, made very well. I bought for a shower gift. I would purchase again.

I was disappointed when I open the box, the plate that says Emeril Lagasse looks old and worn not shiny at all. The knives are not a very good quality. I almost wondered if someone used
them and then return them because they didn’t like them and then they got sent to me.
