The trimmer works as it is described for the most part. The motor is not very powerful so it’s not meant for a big dog. We have a small Shipoo that has a lot of mats in his fur. The motor slowed way down when clipping through the mats. Had we not brushed him, before we used the trimmer, it might not have worked at all.
