About Little Shop of Horrors
Little Shop of Horrors is a beloved horror-comedy rock musical featuring music by Alan Menken and a book and lyrics by Howard Ashman. After premiering in 1982 and opening Off-Broadway that same year, it became a cult favorite, following meek florist Seymour Krelborn as he discovers Audrey II, a singing, carnivorous plant that promises fame and fortune in exchange for blood. This special 40th-anniversary presentation is hosted by Ellen Greene, who originated the iconic role of Audrey in the original stage production and reprised the role in the 1986 film adaptation.
