About the Artists
Get ready for an extraordinary night of rhythm, message, and movement under the open summer sky!
Headlining the evening is the legendary Steel Pulse. Emerging from Birmingham, England in 1975, these roots-reggae pioneers have spent five decades crafting revolutionary music meant to inspire global harmony and confront social injustice. Fronted by the visionary creative force of lead vocalist and guitarist David Hinds, the six-time Grammy-nominated group famously made history as the very first non-Jamaican band to capture the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album with their landmark release, Babylon the Bandit. With heavy global anthems like "Chant a Psalm" - heralded by Rolling Stone as one of the best songs of the 1980s - they remain a powerhouse live act adored by multiple generations.
The night also welcomes the unmatched energy of 2-Tone ska revivalists The English Beat. Mixing sharp, witty social commentary with infectious rhythms, frontman Dave Wakeling's unmistakable voice and tight horn grooves will have the entire crowd moving to timeless classics like "Mirror in the Bathroom" and "Save It for Later."
Opening the show is Hawaii's own sensational crossover force, Eli-Mac. Bringing a unique blend of her proud Filipino heritage, island reggae foundations, and deep love for R&B and hip-hop, her rise is nothing short of inspiring. Capturing early nationwide attention on Season 3 of American Idol at just 18, Eli-Mac quickly transitioned into a touring powerhouse, debuting her hit Dubstop EP and even winning Hawaii Music Awards' Single of the Year for her rendition of Bob Marley's "Guava Jelly" - impeccably produced by Stephen Marley. Together, this triple-threat lineup offers an unparalleled celebration of island energy, rebel grooves, and soulful roots.
