About the Event
The World Series of Comedy is a stand-up comedy competition and career-building festival now in its 17th year. The season begins with live Satellite contests held across the U.S. and Canada, leading to The Main Event, a national festival held each September. The Main Event brings together 101 qualifying comedians and comedy club owners, managers, and bookers for a week of performances, seminars, panels, networking, and social events. Designed as both a competition and a job fair, the festival awards up to 50 weeks of paid comedy work and a recording deal to top finalists, while creating real booking opportunities for comedians at all levels.
