About This Deal
Highlights of Vikings Con
Welcome to Norse culture at Vikings Con, where a rich array of experiences awaits! From hands-on activities to captivating performances and sacred rituals, here are the highlights that make this event a must-visit for Viking enthusiasts-
Viking Village Experience: Stroll through authentic Viking Village and engage in everyday Viking life. Participate alongside re-enactors as they showcase traditional activities from the Viking era, offering a vivid glimpse into the past.
Harpist Michele Mountain: Be enchanted by the melodies of Michele Mountain, a harpist with over 30 years of experience. Her music and vocals will transport you to the realms of Vikings and Valkyries. Catch her performances throughout the event and during the traditional Viking wedding on Sunday, adding a magical touch to the festivities.
Dísablót Ritual: Join the Dísablót, a meaningful autumnal festival held on Sunday at 5 pm to close out Vikings Con. This ceremony honors the dísir—female spirits, warrior goddesses, and Valkyries who protect families and ensure the continuation of life. Blending tradition with a focus on harvest and the changing seasons, the ritual includes invoking Norse gods and offering petitions. Attendees can write personal petitions before the ceremony, which will be burned in a sacred ritual fire to be received by the gods.
