Before Your Appointment:
- Hair Removal: You must be cleanly shaven on treatment day. Do not wax, bleach, pluck, or thread for 4 weeks prior. Do not use depilatory creams/gels for 2 weeks prior.
- Sun & Skincare: Avoid intense sun exposure, tanning beds, self-tanners, and spray tans for 2 weeks before and after. Stop Retinoids and topical Benzoyl Peroxide 3 days prior. No chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or other lasers within 2 weeks.
- Medical Restrictions: Not permitted for nursing or pregnant women. Do not consume photosensitive medications or antibiotics. Cannot have used Accutane within the last 6 months.
Aftercare & Recovery:
- Be Gentle: Avoid hot water (baths/hot tubs) and swimming (pools/ocean) for at least 3 days. Take cool or lukewarm showers, pat dry gently, and do not scrub or rub the area.
- Moisturize & Protect: Moisturize 3 times daily for 3-4 days to minimize irritation. Wear SPF 45+ whenever outside and avoid sun exposure entirely.
- Avoid Irritants: Skip astringents, toners, Rx retinoids, OTC retinol, harsh soaps, scrubs, and peels for at least 1 week.
- Patience: Do not pluck shedding hairs; let them fall out naturally over the next 5-15 days.
