About This Deal

Choose Between Two Options

  • $25 for 5 kung-fu or tai-chi classes (a $100 value)
  • $49 for 10 kung-fu or tai-chi classes with a complimentary T-shirt (a $215 value)

Instructors in the lineage of great Chinese martial-arts masters pass down the Southern Chinese fighting style of jow-ga kung fu, the boxing style of shaolin mizong quan, and several forms of tai chi. As kung-fu students advance from the white sash toward the goal of a black sash, they not only master proper form and stances, but continuously apply their growing set of skills in two-man partner sets, self-defense exercises, and sparring sessions. Tai-chi students also study the practical applications of their art with push-hands exercises supplementing their stance work and qi gong–style meditations. About Jow Ga Shaolin Institute

The Jow Ga Shaolin Institute is centered around the study of authentic Chinese martial arts and focuses its training around the elements of fitness, emotional well-being and self-defense. The Institute offers classes six days a week, taught by masters—some of whom possess more than 40 years of martial arts training—teaching traditional Chinese kung fu, focusing on the Southern fighting form of Jow Ga and the Northern style of Shaolin Mizong Quan, and meditative sessions of tai chi chauan and qi gong. They foster a supportive environment in which students help one another improve their skills as they learn as self-defense training, sparring, and weapons techniques. In addition to emphasizing proper technique, they impart values including respect, self-discipline, and humility.
