About This Deal
CPR/AED Certification — For Lay Responders, Parents, Educators & Workplace Safety
Nationally accepted CPR and AED certification for the general public and non-clinical professionals. Covers Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED use, and choking response. Earn 4 CE credits and download your certificate the same day you pass.
General Public & Workplace CPR — Not Healthcare Provider Level
This is the standard CPR/AED course designed for lay responders — people without clinical training who want to be prepared to respond to a cardiac emergency. It is the appropriate certification for parents and caregivers, teachers and school staff, coaches and fitness professionals, workplace safety compliance, and community members seeking foundational life-saving skills.
If you are a nurse, physician, paramedic, or allied health professional who needs Healthcare Provider-level CPR certification (which includes 2-rescuer techniques and bag-mask ventilation), Learntastic also offers a separate Healthcare Provider CPR & First Aid Combo course for clinical settings.
CPR & AED — Complete Coverage for All Ages
The course covers: Adult, Child, and Infant CPR including proper chest compressions and rescue breaths; correct AED operation — pad placement, safe deployment, and step-by-step guidance during cardiac arrest; choking recognition and relief for adults, children, and infants including the Heimlich maneuver and back blows; recognizing signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest across different age groups; when and how to call emergency services and communicate with first responders; post-rescue care and monitoring until professional help arrives; and safety precautions aligned with current ECC/ILCOR and OSHA guidelines.

✓ About Accreditation — What to Know
This course is nationally accepted, regulatory approved, and provided in partnership with the American HealthCare Academy. It follows the most current 2020 ECC/ILCOR and OSHA guidelines — the international standards that govern CPR and emergency cardiovascular care practice and are adopted by employers, schools, and organizations across the U.S. Hundreds of national, state, and health boards approve and endorse this training.
One thing to clarify upfront: the American Heart Association (AHA) publishes CPR guidelines and scientific standards — it does not accredit course providers. Learntastic's course content is built to follow those same AHA/ECC/ILCOR guidelines, which is exactly what the AHA provides to the field. Learntastic's instructors hold professional certifications including ANCC, ACPE, and AMA credentials, ensuring this course is developed and taught to recognized professional standards.
If your organization requires specific documentation for workplace safety records or compliance audits, Learntastic can provide supporting materials upon request.
