Are you interested in building core strength and increasing flexibility, but are intimidated by fancy yoga studios?
Go no further - literally. Grace brings the yoga class to you (in-person for DC-area and virtually). Designed for beginners, Grace has created classes that give newbies the chance to build a foundation in yoga and leave empowered to start a practice.
What you can expect...
- Four 75-minute One-on-One Yoga Sessions: In-person or virtual yoga series designed to expose the new practitioner to basic yoga poses by breaking down asanas step by step. The series also shares different breathing and meditation techniques to support the beginner's practice. The pace is slow and intentional, informed by the student's needs.
- Three 75-minute Couples Yoga Sessions for Beginners: In-person or virtual yoga series designed to expose basic yoga poses by breaking down asanas step by step with a partner. The couple can customize the series to focus on partner postures, breathwork and meditation techniques to facilitate connection.
- One 75-minute Small Group (>5) Yoga Session for Beginners: In-person yoga session is designed for a small group of friends and/or families. This is great for anyone looking to host a brunch with friends, facilitate a work-retreat activity, and/or for any family looking for fun new at-home activities.
In-person classes include the use of incense, essential oils, music, and towels. Practitioners are expected to provide the space and come prepared with yoga mat, comfortable clothing, and any props that might support the practice (i.e. bands, blocks, etc.). Conditions may apply as the location of teacher varies.
Online classes require a strong connection to the internet as to not disrupt the flow of the class. The practitioner must have a camera in which the entire mat is visible during the practice to enable stronger instruction. If the student is interested, these sessions may also be recorded to rewatch later.
