The man who was running the session was rude, condescending, and pretty much did the whole glass piece for me which is certainly not what I had in mind when I purchased the groupon. He didn't let me pick out the image I wanted or create one I had planned on doing. The options were very limited and specific which wasn't specified in the groupon. I wouldn't do it again and every time I look at the piece he essentially made I am disappointed and irritated all over again.

This was a really special experience for our family of four (with two teenage boys). We are super happy with the pieces we brought home and every time we look at them we remember our time together. Be aware, for this class you don't have full creative license to do whatever you want, for good reason. This actually added to the experience because it made things go smoothly and the pieces turned out beautifully. They have dozens of really nice designs to choose from, and they were quite varied. Our family did a lighthouse, turtle, flower, and skull. While the owner used his experience to make suggestions on how we could improve our pieces, it never felt forced. His suggestions really added to the beauty of the pieces, so we are glad we listened. We are looking forward to going back and making some coasters next.

Great idea, however the owner/artist allows zero creativity. The finished product is nice but the fact that I did not get to choose my own pattern or colors made the experience less enjoyable.

We had the best time making our one of a kind glass creations. The Artists there are very helpful and give good guidance along the way. We will definitely go back again!

About MorArt

Local artist and glass master Dan Watts opened the doors of MorArt more than 4 years ago with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that attracted the likes of actress Tippi Hedren of Hitchcock's The Birds fame. After the confetti settled and the balloon outlines of Hitchcock's silhouette popped, Lincoln City was left with a haven for hands-on glass making.

Dan teaches the art of glass fusing during one-on-one sessions or group classes. Equipping students with the tools, materials, and knowledge necessary, he lets them roam free to breathe life into their own refractive creations. Though he remains on-hand for advice, instruction, and assistance, the onus lies on each individual to create a masterpiece worthy of mantel display. Once students finish, Dan fires up his kiln's bedchamber so that each piece can stay and solidify overnight. Masterworks can be shipped for an additional fee, delivered express via the studio's catapult, or picked up from the store along with a few pieces of Dan's original work.
