Professional instructor leads group and individual lessons for golf players who wish to improve their game
Since it was built in 1972, Point Venture Golf Club has occupied a finger-like peninsula formed by a hairpin turn in the Colorado River. The nine-hole layout stretches to 3,033 yards from the back (blue) tees, starting with a short 301-yard par 4 on Hole 1 and building to a 535-yard dogleg par 5 on Hole 9. The design also incorporates sights of Lake Travis on four of its holes, but otherwise has no water hazards, bunkers, or quicksand. To conquer the course, players might want to take lessons from Point Venture's resident Pro Golf professional, Justin Orbin—he holds the course record at 63.
