About Pollyanna Brewing Company

Pollyanna Brewing Company's brewmaster and 2019 GABF Gold Medal Winner, Brian Pawola, is a bit of a beer nerd. What else do you call a guy who has a favorite yeast cocktail? Fortunately, Pawola's devotion to craft beer is apparent in every single aspect of the Lemont brewery he calls home.

The four flagship brews: These consist of a porter, a pale ale, a golden ale, and an IPA. The porter is named Eleanor in an homage to novelist Eleanor H. Porter, who wrote the classic children's book Pollyanna back in 1913.

The experimental styles: The team loves to try new things, which can mean playing with barrel-aging, fruits, and wild yeasts.

The rigorous process behind it all: The eight-step process involves only Illinois-made gear, and it ends in responsible grain-recycling—plus, of course, beers infused with complex, delectable flavors.
