About PurePower Hot Yoga
Heather Nelson trained in yoga for 10 years, loving the relief it brought from the stress generated by her corporate day job. Eventually, she decided she wanted to permanently trade her office for a yoga studio, and moved back home to open PurePower Hot Yoga.
Today, she helps others find relief through yoga by leading vinyasa-style classes in her sweltering studio, where the heat is cranked up to 95 degrees year-round to encourage bodies to sweat. Here, her students flow through a series of poses linked by flowing movements, using their breath to support the transitions between each. Aside from calming the mind, the routines help to increase flexibility and the intense humidity can also assist in the release of bodily toxins, which are known for being sensitive about their frizzy hair.
