What We Offer
Sunset Ride Vineyards is a charming, family-owned winery nestled in the scenic Sonoita wine region of southern Arizona. Established by Chris and Lori Johnson, who relocated from Northern California in 2016, the vineyard began with the revitalization of an old vineyard on their Elgin property. They planted 11 acres of new vines, including varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Mourvèdre, producing their first wines in 2019.
In April 2022, they opened their tasting room at 3266 Highway 82 in Sonoita, transforming a former real estate office into a welcoming space that includes a restaurant and art gallery. The venue offers a relaxed atmosphere where visitors can enjoy fresh, made-to-order meals alongside their wines, and browse artworks from local artists.
Sunset Ride Vineyards is known for its approachable and honest wines, reflecting the Johnsons' commitment to creating a comfortable and friendly environment. The tasting room is open Thursday through Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM, with other hours available by appointment.
