About The French Bread Factory
The owners met while working at a bakery shop in Georgetown. As their love for each other grew, so did their passion for quality products and customer service. After working at the Georgetown bakery for almost 14 years, the store had to close its doors permanently. The store closing was a blessing in disguise when the Maltez Family decided to sell everything they owned to now invest in their passion and dream.
In 1997 they opened The French Bread Factory, the family had many sleepless nights to ensure a better life for themselves and children, all while doing what they love.
Their “never say no” attitude, quality products, customer service and family atmosphere started to slowly attract more customers as well as big named companies. The family’s passion and hard work has now made The French Bread Factory a leading wholesale bakery in the greater metropolitan area including Washington DC, Northern VA, Baltimore and Richmond.
