Great instructors (especially Jacqueline!), great workout, and great class time offerings. I would've given the atmosphere 4 stars instead of 5 because the classes can be pretty clique-y in a not-so-welcoming way, but that's not really a reflection of the studio, but more of a reflection of the clientele, which can be very sorority-esque depending on the class.
The class times are great, from very early morning to early evening there's something to suit everyone's schedule. There's also lots of different teachers. I'm not gonna lie, I felt a bit intimidated when I saw the girls that teach the class on their website. They're all young, fit and extremely toned in their skimpy workout gear. But I can honestly say they, and the owner who also teaches there, are all exceptionally friendly, helpful and great at what they do. Out of all the instructors there's only one i wasn't too keen on, but the benefit of the unlimited monthly pass was that i could try so many different classes and check out all the instructors. I'm not super fit, but I'm not a couch potato either. I do a bit of running. I found the classes challenging and I sweat a LOT, but they are constantly providing encouragement or alterations if you want to take this up our down a notch. Would highly recommend.

About U Barre
When the sun is pouring through stained-glass windows, and you're lying on a mat in U Barre's quiet studio, it hardly feels like you're at a workout facility. But in fact, students get a lot of hard work done here, thanks to a calendar packed with barre classes. The barre classes feature a mixture of ballet and Pilates movements, which can help build strength, tone muscle, and burn calories. Private reformer sessions are also available, though even the open classes accommodate just a handful of students. This allows for plenty of one-on-one attention from instructors who draw from experience in nutrition, dance, and rehabilitating clients with injuries or chronic pain.
