About Color Me Mine Freehold

The shelves at Color Me Mine’s studio teem with whimsical bisque-ceramic pieces—pony and princess figurines, piggy banks, and kitchen items—each stark white and waiting for the brush strokes of a budding artist. That artist might be a birthday boy at a party with up to 25 of his friends, or a grown-up unwinding at a girls' night out. No previous experience is required, as the studio staff dispenses plenty of painting tips, stencils, and artistic inspiration. Afterwards, the staff will fire the resulting pieces, which can then be used as décor or dinnerware thanks to Color Me Mine's lead-free, food-safe, paints. In addition to open painting and private parties, the studio hosts after-school enrichment programs, field trips, camps, or scout-troop events.

We ran short on time and I did not realize they will allow you to come back to complete your project on another day for no additional fee. You just have to take your piece home with you. They were very nice to my kids.

Prices on pieces vary a lot, so check the bottom for prices before painting. Some of the prices are not what you'd expect (some smaller/plainer pieces as much as bigger/more intricate ones), so don't assume. It was quiet on a weekday evening, but they do a lot of kids parties so may be louder/busier on weekends. Fun experience, good staff.

Listen to the employees and paint at least 3 coats. All the employees are really nice. Rainy days are very busy.

Great place to unwind after shopping in the mall or just a day out with the kids.

I had a wonderful experience. The staff was patient with my children (ages 6-13). We took simpler projects for the younger kids (limited to 3-4 colors) to prevent frustration. The staff also advised my older ones how to get the project to look they way they wanted to i.e. use masking tape et

It was a fun time. The ceramics pieces that you can choose from start at $15 plus your sitting fee of $9 for an adult and $7 for a child.
